Although it’s still January, most people are so antsy for spring to come. Cabin fever is real and with stores releasing their resort collections which are (of course) shot in sunny and warm destinations, I think everyone that’s still dealing with snow and cold are ready for the flowers to start blooming and spring to come!
Living in South Carolina, you just never know about the weather. We shot this look on Saturday and the weather was 60 and sunny, but just two days before we were in the 20s watching the snow fall! All I can say is I’m thankful for the temperature changes – it keeps me on my toes when trying to decide what to wear. Whenever the weather allows, I find myself reaching for dresses and skirts. It is the easiest way to elevate your wardrobe and look chic with minimal effort.
Chic Midi Dresses
This season, midi dresses are around to stay and they are some of the most flattering and feminine dress silhouettes on the market. With loads of styles, patterns, and colors to choose from, no matter your style you can find a dress you like. Pair it with flats, a light jacket or sweater and a scarf for a simple and chic winter-to-spring transition outfit or spruce it up with bright heels a faux fur coat and elegant jewelry for a night out.
I know it already that these flats are going to be my go-to for spring and summer this year. I bought them last year when they were just starting to pop up on the market, but only wore them a few times. Now I’m finding more and more outfits – from dressy to casual – to pair them with. And speaking of accessories that I’m taking from winter into spring, I’m dying over the circle handbag trend. I couldn’t find the exact link to the one I have since it was a gift from a brand, but I cannot get over how perfect they are! Although straw and woven bags are still going to be hot this year, if you want to up your style game for the season invest in a whimsically shaped bag – like a circle – and be the talk of the town!
